Courses - General Information
The iSierra Online Academy offers a variety of programs and the courses available vary depending on the program in which a student is enrolled.
Please read through the selection of programs below, then select the appropriate course list from the navigation menu at the bottom of the page to see the list of available courses.
- iSierra Full-time (Full-time Independent Study):
- Your student enrolls at La Sierra High School. All courses will be taken online through the iSierra Online Academy. (Your student will be disenrolled from their local comprehensive high school).
- iSierra Hybrid (Part-time Independent Study):
- Your student enrolls primarily at La Sierra High School, taking online classes through the iSierra Online Academy, but may take up to 3 classes at a comprehensive high school in the FJUHSD. Your student will be disenrolled from their comprehensive high school.

- Comprehensive Hybrid:
- Your student remains primarily enrolled at a local (FJUHSD) comprehensive high school, but may take 1 to 2 classes through the iSierra Online Academy @ La Sierra High School during periods 1-6. This opportunity is limited to a maximum of 2 courses at a time.
- Comprehensive Blended:
- The student remains enrolled at their comprehensive high school but may take one additional class through iSierra Online Academy @ La Sierra High School as a 9th period course. This opportunity is limited to one course at a time.

Academic Support – Teachers are available by phone, email, and virtual conferencing appointment to help students with their coursework. The iSierra Online Academy also offers tutor support via Tutor.com. A district supported 24/7 virtual tutoring program. Using this program, students will be connected with a live tutor utilizing a virtual whiteboard and real-time discussion (no camera) when they need assistance outside of regular school hours.
